The Biography of Pastor & First Lady Martin.
Pastor George D. Martin Jr.
Pastor George D. Martin Jr. is a native of Indianapolis, IN. He accepted his calling
into the ministry during his senior year of undergraduate studies while attending
Anderson University. His love and commitment toward God drove him to constantly
strive for excellence in Christ. In 1994, Pastor Martin established the Zion Hill Boys Choir. This was an urban ministry
that was designed for young men between the ages of 5-19. In 1996, Pastor Martin was licensed as a minister of the Gospel and he served as an associate minister while attending Zion Hill Missionary Baptist church from 1996 until 2002. In 2003, Pastor Martin was ordained as a minister. On March of 2002, Pastor Martin along with five charter members met together and the Sanctuary church was born. The church has now grown from five members to more than 300. Pastor Martin holds a Bachelor's degree from Anderson University and he is married to Toyin Martin and together they have four lovely children.

First Lady Toyin Martin, although very intelligent and charismatic, is a humble woman of God that represents Christ through her service, spirit and desire to see people transformed. She has a heart for community, children and youth development, uplifting women and helping to enhance worship through performing arts. She always wears a bright smile and pleasant demeanor. Most of all, Lady Martin prides herself in being a submitted and devoted wife. She loves God and works diligently with her husband in ministry to fulfill the vision of The Sanctuary Church. A loving wife and mother, she teaches her children to value education and more importantly to love the Lord. Lady Martin holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in Communications and Nonprofit Management.‎ She serves in leadership and with excellence in the Women's and Dance ministries. Lady Martin sees it as a privilege and honor to serve the kingdom of God.
